CLIFTON PARK – Saratoga County officials announced the county will install an all-way traffic signal at the intersection of Grooms Road and Vischer Ferry Road in Clifton Park to improve traffic flow.

The project includes signal-controlled crosswalks to enhance pedestrian safety at the intersection.

The installation will begin next week and is expected to be complete within four to six weeks, dependent upon material delivery.

Town Supervisor, Phil Barrett, who serves as chairman of the county’s Public Works Committee said, “The installation of the traffic signal and crosswalks are important and needed upgrades that will improve both traffic safety and pedestrian safety while helping to create a more walkable community. This project is just one example of the county’s commitment to keeping Saratoga County a safe, family-friendly place to live.”

The intersection will be open to traffic during the project installation, but drivers may experience intermittent, short delays.
