Plane crash in Milton Wednesday, no injuries reported

MILTON — A plane returning to Saratoga County Airport crashed in a field west of the airfield in the town of Milton Wednesday evening, according to a Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The plane reportedly lost power before it was brought down, according to the release.

Community Emergency Corps of Ballston Spa, as well as the Rock City Falls Fire Department, a volunteer firehouse in the hamlet within Milton, also responded to the call. Neither person in the plane was injured nor was anyone on the ground, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sheriffs first got the 911 call at 5:54 p.m., according to the release. They are now investigating the incident with the Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB.
