It’s early in the ECAC Hockey Faceoff Selections season. But when you have a 17-game schedule, how well you do can go a long way in helping you compete for the championship.

Brian Unger had an outstanding Week 4. Unger posted a Week 4-best 14-1-2 record, and that propelled him from a seven-way tie for seventh place into a second-place tie with Kevin Sokolski, who went 11-4-2. They are four points behind league-leader Ryan Fay, who was 12-3-2 in Week 4.

I even had a good Week 4, going 12-3-2. I’m in a four-way tie for fifth place and trail Fay by eight points.

I want to welcome back an original member of the Faceoff Selections, Union Bob. He went 12-3-2.

Also, please make sure that when you are sending your picks, please make sure that you’re not missing a game. I’ll try to catch it and notify you if I have the time. If you miss a game, it will count as a loss.

Here is a look the standings, with Week 4 records in parentheses:

Ryan Fay 33-8-7 73 points (12-3-2)

Kevin Sokolski 31-10-7 69 points (11-4-2)
