Police: Three employees conspired over month to take $2K in merchandise from Schenectady Home Depot

SCHENECTADY – Three employees at the Schenectady Home Depot have been arrested, accused of conspiring to take more than $2,100 worth of merchandise from the store, authorities said.

Partab Balram, 67, Yougashwar Balram, 41, and Savatree Balkissoon, 35, all of Schenectady, were each arrested in the past week on one count each of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor.

The three are accused of working together over approximately a month’s time in October to take the merchandise from their employer, according to allegations filed in court.

Police based the charges in part on video surveillance, according to the allegations.

Partab Balram was arrested Friday, while Yougashwar Balram and Balkissoon were arrested last Wednesday, records show.
