Speakers at the funeral service include, Rev. Peter Carman, former president of SiCM and pastor at Emmanuel Friedens; Rabbi Matt Cutler of Congregation Gates of Heaven; and Rev. Amaury Tañón-Santos, executive director and CEO of SiCM.

An interment service will take place at Vale Cemetery following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, Grigsby’s family has requested memorial donations be made to the Schenectady Community Ministries. Donations can be made online at sicm.us/donate or through the mail at Schenectady City Ministries PO Box 1049, Schenectady, NY 12301.

SiCM will close operations on Dec. 2 to honor Grigsby’s memory. The food pantry, urban farms and community hub will resume regular working hours on Dec. 3.

Grigsby served the greater Schenectady community for over 30 years, where he worked to bridge gaps of food access, poverty, health, safety, education, and justice for all in the city and county of Schenectady.
