Businesses in Glenville can now apply for a Revitalization and Economic Development Initiative grant to improve their facade or signage.
The maximum amount a business can receive is $10,000, according to a press release from the town. There is a 50% match for the grant.
Eligible small businesses include those located in the town of Glenville or village of Scotia. Projects are required to not only comply with zoning and building regulations, but also receive approval from the property’s owner.
There is a total of $50,000 in grant money available. Past grants have funded landscaping, signage or facade improvements. During the pandemic the money was also used for marketing.
