Niskayuna High School chorus groups will be back in action caroling this holiday season after the COVID pandemic canceled the school’s Caroling for Cash event last year.

The event is a fundraiser for the Niskayuna Friends of Music.

Caroling for Cash is an annual event in which chorus groups would walk through old Niskayuna neighborhoods signing holiday songs, according to a press release on the event.

This year instead of strolling through the neighborhoods, students from choirs Bel Canto and Studio Singers will perform at various locations in town Monday.

All funds collected from the event go to Niskayuna Friends of Music.

The times and locations are:

  • 5:15 to 5;30 p.m. at Niskayuna Town Hall and the Rexford Fire Department
  • 5:45 to 6 p.m. at Iroquois and Van Antwerp middle schools
  • 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. Union Cafe

Updated Dec. 5, 4:50 p.m. to include omitted information and correct that the event was canceled only in 2020.
