One of the rape counts and the aggravated sexual abuse counts were upgraded due to the victim being physically helpless, according to police.

The incident happened Nov. 25 at about 3:30 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott in a room there, police said. The woman suffered injuries and required medical treatment, police said.

The initial call came in as an argument between Johnson and a woman there. Police responded and charged Johnson initially with multiple misdemeanors, police said.

The investigation continued, leading to the multiple felony charges filed, police said.

Johnson was arraigned and ordered held without bail.
