Five Schenectady County residents who tested positive for COVID die, county announces Tuesday

SCHENECTADY – Five more Schenectady County residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, Schenectady County officials said Tuesday.

Officials described the individuals as a man in his 80s, a man and woman in their 70s, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s.

The county has previously stated it does not provide further details on those who have died, including whether they had underlying conditions.

There are 37 people hospitalized. There are currently 1,419 people in isolation or quarantine, according to county data.

So far, 67% of the county is fully vaccinated.

Do some investigating before you scare with a headline. What were the actual causes of death? You do more research on a 5k race and the winners and runners up than you do on this topic. Journalism is not your forte.
