Life isn’t back to normal just yet, but many events and activities were back on in 2021 after being canceled a year earlier.

Correspondingly, our photographers were able to fan out over the region as usual to document life in our communities.

This a batch of staff photographer Erica Miller’s top scenes from the year to close out our three-day series — just hours before the clock strikes midnight.
