HALFMOON – A large police response to an address in Halfmoon Tuesday afternoon proved to be based on an unfounded call, state police said.
The case is now being investigated as a falsely reported incident, troopers said.
Troopers and the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Vosburgh Road at about 1:45 p.m. after a 911 call reported a domestic-related incident, state police said.
Responding law enforcement soon determined no domestic incident took place at that location and the investigation turned into one for falsely reporting an incident.
State police identified the home as in Clifton Park, however, the address provided is in Halfmoon, records show.
The investigation continued later Tuesday afternoon, state police said.
