
COLONIE – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Monday evening on Route 5 in Colonie, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to Albany Medical Center and remained in critical condition Tuesday morning, police said.
The pedestrian’s identity also remained unknown Tuesday morning, police said.

The pedestrian attempted to cross Route 5, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by a sedan. The driver immediately stopped and called 911, police said.
The crash remained under investigation Tuesday. Anyone with information or who was in the area at that time is asked to contact the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit at 518-783-2620.
