ROTTERDAM – Police are investigating a reported Wednesday evening home invasion in the town’s Coldbrook neighborhood, police said Thursday.

No injuries were reported and police said the incident does not appear to be a random act.

The victim reported the armed suspects made off with cash and jewelry, police said.

The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Fiero Avenue, police said.

Officers responded there to a report of a robbery at a residence. The victim reported that two suspects came to the residence and rang the doorbell. Once the victim answered the door, the suspects entered the house, displayed a handgun and made threats, police said.

The victim reported the suspects then stole an indeterminate amount of cash and jewelry from inside the residence. They then fled the scene in a light colored sedan prior to police arriving.

Police released only vague descriptions of the suspects. One was described a woman in her 20s with an average build and the other of unknown gender or age with a thin build.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rotterdam detectives at 518-355-7397, ext. 7119.
