
MECHANICVILLE – State police Thursday identified the roofer killed in a fall Wednesday morning at DeCrescente Distributing in Mechanicville as a Rensselaer County man.
Jeffrey P. Pasinello, 36, of Brunswick, died at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when he fell from a roof there.
Authorities determined Pasinello had been there as a subcontractor and fell about 30 to 40 feet from a roof he had been actively working on.
He died at the scene.

DeCrescente and BBL Construction issued a joint statement about the accident Wednesday:
“This morning, a fatal accident occurred involving an employee of a contractor working on the DeCrescente warehouse expansion project in Mechanicville. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the person who passed away. State Police and emergency personnel responded promptly and remain on the scene. Safety is the number one priority of both companies, and we will work with authorities to conduct a thorough review of the incident.”
