LOUDONVILLE – After scoring just four points in the third quarter, the Siena women’s basketball team got its offense in gear in the fourth and outscored Marist 22-7 to pull away for a 59-45 victory at the UHY Center on Saturday.

Rayshel led the Saints (7-9 MAAC, 7-17 overall) with 13 points, and five of them came in the fourth quarter, including a jumper for a 48-40 lead with 5:27 left and two free throws with 1:36 lead to push the lead to 55-42.

Deanna Winston also scored five points in the fourth, on two free throws for a 46-40 lead and a 3-pointer to make it 53-42.

Selena Philoxy had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Siena, and Guilderland High graduate Valencia Fontenelle-Posson made a big shot during the fourth-quarter run, a 3-pointer to put the Saints up 44-40.

After Siena took a 33-26 lead at halftime, Marist (5-11, 7-17) outscored the Saints 12-4 in the third quarter to go up 38-37.

Trinasia Kennedy led Marist with 13 points, and Kendall Krick scored 11.
