ROTTERDAM – A snowmobiler was killed and a passenger hurt in a Sunday crash with a telephone pole along County Line Road, police said.
Police identified the man killed as Earl Macintosh III, 31, of Guilderland. He was treated at the scene and taken on to Albany Medical Center, where he died, police spokesman Lt. Kyle Girard said Monday.
Macintosh’s passenger was taken on to Albany Medical Center, where she remained in stable condition Monday, Girard said.
Rescuers were called to the area of 1234 County Line Road, east of the Route 156 intersection, just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Girard said.
Police and EMS crews from both Guilderland and Rotterdam responded. They arrived to find the driver severely injured. No helmet was found for the driver at the scene, Girard said.
