LOUDONVILLE — The Siena College women’s basketball team helped its cause Thursday for the upcoming MAAC Tournament.

The Saints defeated Saint Peter’s 69-58 to create a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings among themselves, Saint Peter’s and Monmouth — Siena’s final opponent in the regular season on Saturday.

Siena (9-10 league, 9-18 overall) has won three of its last four, dating back to Feb. 19.

Seven players scored for Siena, led by Ahniysha Jackson’s 14 points.

Three other Saints reached double digits, with Valencia Fontenelle-Posson scoring 13, and Rayshel Brown and Anajah Brown each adding 11.
