
SARATOGA SPRINGS – An Amsterdam man drove drunk and illegally possessed a handgun and ammunition feeding device early Saturday in Saratoga Springs, police said.
Kalvin Lamar Pittman, 39, of Amsterdam, was arrested and charged with second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies, along with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, police said.

Saratoga Springs officers stopped Pittman at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday on Spring Street for multiple traffic violations, police said.
Officers then found him to illegally possess a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson automatic pistol, and an ammunition feeding device with more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
Police also found him with an amount of cocaine and found him to have been driving while intoxicated, police said.
Pittman was arraigned and ordered held on $30,000 bail.
