Midday fire Tuesday damages Schenectady home

SCHENECTADY – A midday fire Tuesday damaged a home in the Hamilton Hill neighborhood.

Several individuals were assisted out of the home, Assistant Fire Chief Don Mareno said.

No one was hurt.

Firefighters were called just before noon Tuesday at 522 Schenectady St.

Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 30 minutes and out within an hour, Mareno said.
