
BALLSTON – A pedestrian was struck and killed and another seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in Ballston, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was flown by helicopter to Albany Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, officials said.
The incident happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Hop City Road in Ballston, officials said.

The investigation remained ongoing Tuesday evening.
Hop City Road between Devil’s Lane and Root Road remained closed into the evening Tuesday for the sheriff’s Collision Reconstruction Unit’s work, officials said.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Community EMS, Ballston Lake EMS, the Burnt Hills and Ballston Spa fire departments and Life Net, officials said.
