Guilderland Police seek help in Sunday Crossgates Mall shooting case; Looking to ID members of two groups

GUILDERLAND – Guilderland police Thursday asked for the public’s help in identifying members of two groups they say were “involved in an exchange of gunfire” Sunday at Crossgates Mall.

The shooting left a 17-year-old shot in the hand, police said. No other injuries were reported.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot by Best Buy at Crossgates Mall and police Thursday indicated members of the groups were involved in the “exchange of gunfire” in the incident.

Police Thursday released surveillance images of the individuals they want to identify. One group included images of four individuals and one car, while the second included what appeared to be six individuals and what appeared to be two vehicles.
