Up 4-3 at the half, UAlbany (3-3 America East, 5-7 overall) saw NJIT score two of the first three goals of the third quarter to tie the game up. “We played some young kids tonight who had not seen much action this year, and I thought we were tentative in the first half,” UAlbany head coach Scott Marr said in a press release. “But once we settled in and played faster, we created a lot of good looks in the second half.

Amos Whitcomb scored four goals for the Great Danes, Hogg had a hat trick and an assist, and senior midfielder Declan Palandjian scored the first two goals of his career. Goalie Will Ramos stopped 11 of the 17 shots he faced, and Regan Endres won 15 of 23 faceoffs.
