
POUGHKEEPSIE — Jackson Rose scored twice late in the fourth quarter, and goalie Brett Dobson made eight of his 27 saves in the final period as top-seeded St. Bonaventure rallied from a one-goal third-quarter deficit to beat fourth-seeded Siena 12-10 in the MAAC men’s lacrosse tournament semifinals on Thursday at Marist College’s Tenney Stadium.
Pratt Reynolds’ goal with 2:54 remaining in the third quarter gave the Saints (6-9) an 8-7 lead. The Bonnies (11-3) opened the fourth quarter with goals by Austin Blumbergs, Conor Murphy and Rose to take a 10-8 lead. The Saints rallied to tie it on goals by Christian Watts and Nick Pepe.
Rose, who had six goals in the game, snapped the tie when he scored with 2:48 left. He scored again 1:23 later to clinch the victory and end Siena’s season.
Siena had 57 shots, while St. Bonaventure had 28.
Watts led the Saints with three goals and an assist. Reynolds had two goals and two assists.
