
SCHENECTADY – A city man set a fire inside a CDTA bus shelter in March, damaging the shelter, authorities said.
Scott J. Hendrickson, 47, of Schenectady, was arrested last Thursday and charged with one count of third-degree arson, a felony, records show.
Hendrickson is accused of using an open flame to set available combustibles inside the shelter on fire just before 10 p.m. March 31, according to police allegations filed in court. The shelter was located on Nott Street at Ellis Hospital.
The fire damaged the shelter structure, according to the allegations.
Police based the charges on their investigation that included video evidence and physical evidence, according to the allegations.
