Queensbury won its 12th boys’ tennis sectional title and second in a row Wednesday by defeating Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 6-1 in the Class A final.
Singles winners for Queensbury were Skyler Allen, Owen Young, Dylan Stehle and Liam Jones. Jackson Varno was the lone winner for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.
Bethlehem captured its fourth straight Class AA championship with a 7-2 win over Shaker. The Eagles will face Queensbury in a state tournament sub-regional match at 4 p.m. Monday at Central Park.
Glens Falls captured the Class B title with a 4-3 victory over Ichabod Crane. Glens Falls swept the two doubles matches, and that proved to be the difference. Ronan Westfall and Tim Motsiff, and Peyton Catarelli and Tucker Sokol were the doubles winners for Glens Falls, which got singles wins from Heath Borgos and Vincent Westfall.
Maple Hill won four of five singles matches and cruised to the Class C/D championship with a 6-1 victory over Lake George. Landon Flach, Luke Hoffman, Luca Flach and Nathan Sober were singles winners for Maple Hill.
