Burnt Hills girls’ lacrosse advances with 20-9 win over Saugerties

MK Lescault scored seven goals as the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake girls’ lacrosse team defeated Saugerties 20-9 in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Sub-Regionals at Rondout Valley on Wednesday.

The Spartans (16-3) jumped out to a 5-0 lead and led 14-2 at halftime.

Grace Tullock scored four goals for Burnt Hills, Ella Blesi and Caroline Kogut scored three each, Maggie Lescault scored twice and Emma Winslow also scored a goal.

The second-seeded Spartans will face No. 1 Tappan Zee in the Regionals at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hendrick Hudson High School.

In Class D, No. 2 seed Schuylerville also advanced to the Regionals, with a 15-7 win over O’Neill.

The Black Horses will face top-seeded Bronxville at 5:30 Saturday at Hendrick Hudson.
