Saratoga Race Course to host second job fair

SARATOGA SPRINGS – A month before this summer’s first post time, the Saratoga Race Course still has plenty of posts available.

The course is looking for additional employees for the 2022 summer meet, and the New York Racing Association (NYRA) will host a second job fair Thursday, June 23 through Saturday, June 25.

The job fair will be conducted at Saratoga Race Course inside the 1863 Club on Thursday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The course is looking for people to work as hospitality ambassadors, cashiers, parking attendants, ticket scanners, Bets Squad representatives, white caps/ushers, betting clerks, technology interns, security guards, porters, cooks, waitstaff members, bussers, merchandise clerks, concessions supervisors and cashiers, cleaners and warehouse workers. The course also seeks employees to work in the box office and in guest services.

Positions are available with NYRA, Integrated Staffing, Levy Restaurants, Mazzone Hospitality, AmTote International, Dyehard Fan Supply, AllPro and Union Square Events, among others.

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have New York State Certified Working Papers. Prospective security guards, cashiers and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply and security guards must have a high school degree or GED. All applicants must present a photo ID and Social Security card or I-9 alternative.

Highlighted by the 153rd renewal of the Grade 1, $1.25 million Runhappy Travers on August 27 and the Grade 1, $1 million Whitney on August 6, the 2022 summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course will open on Thursday, July 14, and continue through Monday, September 5.

Following the four-day opening weekend, racing will be conducted five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, apart from the final week, when the meet will conclude on Labor Day.

Prospective employees should enter through the clubhouse gates at Wright Street and Frank Sullivan Way. Parking will be available at the clubhouse lot, according to NYRA.
