
SCHENECTADY – A city man has been charged with arson in connection with a March fire on Schenectady Street, authorities said.
No one was hurt in the blaze, but several people were helped out of the home, fire officials said at the time.
Joshua R. Robinson, 36, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree arson, a felony. He was arrested last week.
Robinson is accused of applying an open flame to combustibles at 522 Schenectady St. just before noon March 8 all with people present in the home, according to allegations filed in court.
Police based the charge on video and electronic evidence, oral and written statements from Robinson, a witness and the investigation, according to the allegations.
Robinson was arraigned and ordered held on $50,000 bail. He remained in custody Thursday.
