Emma Slupik

Parents: Leta Slupik and Christian Slupik

College or other plans: I will be attending Colgate University and majoring in either Psychology or Neuroscience.

Plans after college: I’m hoping to pursue further education by attending graduate school and after this conduct scientific research for my career, although I am still quite undecided and I’m hoping my time at college will help me explore even more possible career paths.

What is the memory of high school you will never forget: Although I’ve attended different schools in different states during high school and can’t think of one specific memory, I think my most memorable aspect of high school is all of the amazing people I’ve been able to meet at these schools and the opportunities I’ve been given!

Which teacher had the biggest impact on you and why: For the past two years I have been participating in the International Baccalaureate program over at Queensbury High School, and Mr. Tenner, a teacher who I’ve had both years, has provided guidance in terms of school and life. He’s helped me get through the toughest assignments, given me support during the daunting college application and decision process, and his relaxed nature always reminds me to try to stop stressing and just enjoy life! He also physically tells me this…a lot.

What’s in your music player: I listen to a ton of different genres of music and artists, including Imagine Dragons, AJR, Little Mix and Pitbull!

Favorite book or author: “The Red Queen” by Victoria Aveyard
