BALLSTON SPA – A Ballston Spa teacher has been arrested, accused of sexually abusing four children, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
Crim S. Trerise, 56, of Middle Grove, was charged Wednesday with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse, felonies, along with one count of second-degree sexual abuse, a misdemeanor, officials said.
Trerise is accused of having sexual contact with the four children from 2015 to 2017. At the time, three of the victims were under the age of 13 and one under the age of 14, officials said.
The allegations occurred in the Town of Greenfield and all the victims were known to Trerise, officials said.

Ballston Spa Central School District Superintendent Ken Slentz issued a statement on the district’s website, referencing the allegations “against one of our longtime staff members; allegations that if true, are terribly disturbing to all of us.”
Trerise was listed Thursday on the district’s website as part of its math department faculty.
“The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this issue and at this time we have not been informed that any of the allegations involve students from our district or that any of the alleged behaviors occurred in our schools,” Slentz’ statement read.
Slentz indicated he could not provide more information, but said anyone with questions or concerns should contact the sheriff’s office.
Zurlo also said anyone with information on Trerise should contact investigators.
Trerise was arraigned and ordered held on $25,000 bail. He is due back in court in August and orders of protection have been issued on behalf of the victims, officials said.
