SCHENECTADY A fire broke out at a Schenectady apartment home Wednesday morning and also damaged a neighboring home.

No injuries were immediately reported and all occupants were reported out safe.

The fire broke out shortly after 8 a.m. at 1503-1505 Foster Ave. and engulfed the rear of the building.

Schenectady firefighters responded and worked to douse the blaze, including putting water on it from a ladder truck.

The neighboring home at 1507-1509 Foster Ave. also sustained fire damage as a result.

Surrounding streets were closed as firefighters worked.

Further information on the blaze was not immediately available.
