State police stopped her just before 6 p.m. on Interstate 87 in the town of New Paltz for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, state police said.

Troopers determined she was intoxicated and a test at the barracks placed her blood alcohol content at 0.28 percent, above the 0.08 percent legal limit to drive.

Aber was turned over to a sober third party and released to appear in court later.
