SCHENECTADY Two people were found shot at the Saw Mill Tavern early Friday morning, police said.

One victim, a man, was found on scene with a gunshot wound to his leg and taken to Albany Medical Center where he was in stable condition later Friday morning, police said.

The other victim, a woman, arrived at Ellis Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to her foot, police said.

The call came in at 2:14 a.m. to the Saw Mill Tavern, 501 South Ave., for a report that two people had been shot, police said.

Paramedics could be seen tending to one victim on a stretcher at the open door of the establishment located at the corner of South Avenue and North Jay Street. Officers could be seen checking a patio area.

Further details were not immediately available.

The shooting remained under investigation later Friday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 518-788-6566.
