A Schenectady firefighter leaves 1930 Avenue B Monday

SCHENECTADY A man was fatally stabbed Monday at an Avenue B address in Schenectady, police said.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue B at about 11:37 a.m. for a report of a man being stabbed.

Officers arrived and found the victim, who appeared to have been stabbed, inside 1930 Avenue B, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Schenectady Fire Department, but he eventually died from his wound, police said.

The incident remained under investigation later Monday.
