
ROTTERDAM – A 6-year-old boy was injured late Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car on Curry Road, police said.
The boy was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment and a police spokesman said Wednesday he is expected to recover.
The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. on Curry Road at Memorial Park, police Lt. Jeffery Collins said.

The boy was at the park with his father, Collins said.
The driver, headed west on Curry Road, then didn’t have the ability to stop before striking the child, Collins said, citing their initial findings.
The Schenectady County Accident Reconstruction team helped with the investigation at the scene.
The investigation was continuing, Collins said.
