
A Johnstown man was charged by state police with having a fake inspection sticker.
State police out of Fonda arrested Brandon M. Mcrae, 30, at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Townsend Road in Johnstown for an equipment violation. Police said that during the stop they noticed that Mcrae’s inspection sticker was fake. Mcrae has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony.
Police said he has not had a valid inspection sticker since February 2021. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Johnstown City Court on Aug. 30.
