Summer in the Capital Region is packed with things to do, at the track and away from it. On any given day, there’s plenty to choose from between horse racing, live music, festivals, fairs and theater.

Here are several fun options for today.

PICK OF THE DAY 

The Philadelphia Orchestra performs with guest Angel Blue at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $35. 

AROUND SARATOGA

Nite Train will perform on the Purdy’s Summer Concert Stage at the Saratoga Race Course. Gates open at 11 a.m. 

The Saratoga Pinball & Arcade Show kicks off at noon at the Saratoga Regional YMCA. General admission is $15 ($12 for SRYMCA members). Children ages six and under are free. It runs until 10 p.m. 

The Stephen Thriolle Band will play at The Saratoga Winery from 6 to 9 p.m.

ELSEWHERE

Schenectady Fandom Fest begins at 4 p.m. at Proctors. The three-day event features a list of celebrities and voice actors, panels, esports, cosplay contests, movies and other vendors and artists. Tickets start at $40 for students. 

Wine Wisdom with Eldon will take place at the Adirondack Winery Queensbury Tasting Room & WInemaking Facility from 6:30-8 p.m. Tickets start at $45.

The Ajkun Ballet Theatre will perform a piece based on the novel Don Quixote at The Egg in Albany. Tickets are $35.
