Summer in the Capital Region is packed with things to do, at the track and away from it. On any given day, there’s plenty to choose from between horse racing, live music, festivals, fairs and theater.

Here are several fun options for today.

PICK OF THE DAY 

Luke Bryan will take the stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center with special guests Riley Green, Mitchell Tenpenny and DJ Rock. Tickets start at $41. The show starts at 7 p.m.

AROUND SARATOGA

Strolling Bluegrass – The Upstate Bluegrass Band will perform at the Saratoga Race Course. Gates open at 11 a.m. 

2019 International Blues Challenge finalist, Misty Blues will play at Caffe Lena at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $10.

ELSEWHERE

Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany presents “Jersey Boys” at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $27.

The Tri-City ValleyCats will take on the Empire State Greys at the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy at 5 p.m. with post-game fireworks.

At 7 p.m. The Shaker Heritage Society in Albany will present “As I Progress,” a collaborative performance from visual artist Mara Baldwin and composer/percussionist Sarah Hennies. A $10 donation is suggested.
