Troopers: Niskayuna man facing felony drug counts after Monday Northway stop in Moreau

MOREAU A Niskayuna man is facing felony drug charges after a Monday morning traffic stop on the Northway in Moreau, New York State Police said.

William R. Boyd, 38, of Niskayuna, was arrested on one charge each of second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.

Troopers arrested Boyd after stopping him on the Northway just after 9:30 a.m. Monday for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, police said. The investigation determined Boyd possessed a “large quantity” of cocaine, police said.

Boyd was processed, arraigned and ordered held without bail, police said.
