Troopers: Scotia man charged with child pornography possession

SCOTIA A Scotia man has been arrested, accused of possessing child pornography, New York State Police said.

Zachary Long, 22, of Scotia, was arrested last week and charged with possession and promotion of a sexual performance by a child, felonies, police said.

Long is accused of possessing and promoting images consistent with child sexual exploitation via the internet. His arrest came after an investigation by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and after investigators executed a search warrant at his residence, police said.

Long was processed and ordered held on $7,000 bail.
