NISKAYUNA SWEEPS CBA
Niskayuna swept CBA, 25-13, 25-20, 25-16, in Suburban Council boys’ volleyball.
Isaiah Eckman had five kills for Niskayuna, Shane Goldberg had 19 assists and three digs and Gian Stabler had 30 digs.
Bethlehem (7-0, 7-0) remained undefeated with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-22 sweep of Saratoga Springs.
Danny Battista had 20 digs for the Eagles, Joe Monserrat had 24 assists and three aces and Cade Allen had 14 kills and three blocks.
Noah Bocketti and Liam Calhoun each had eight kills, and Cody Gladding had 22 assists as Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (3-4) defeated Colonie, 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.
Shaker got past Guilderland, 25-13, 25-23, 14-25, 25-19, as Josh Blake had 12 kills, four aces and six digs for the Blue Bison, and Bryan Chae had 31 assists and five digs.
In a non-league match, Columbia swept Ichabod Crane, 25-22, 25-23, 25-22, as Arrica Silliman had 11 kills, 16 digs and two aces, and Lauryn Forand had 25 assists for the Blue Devils.
GALWAY, MAYFIELD STAY UNBEATEN
Galway (3-0, 4-0) swept Canajoharie/Fort Plain, 25-5, 25-12, 25-19, in Western Athletic Conference girls’ volleyball. Sophia Fasolino had eight aces, 16 assists and three kills for the Eagles, Grace O’Brien had 12 kills, three blocks, 13 assists and four aces and Jayden DeVellis had 16 digs.
Mayfield (3-0, 6-0) also remained undefeated, by beating Schoharie, 25-19, 26-24, 25-20.
Madison King had two aces, eight kills, one assist, two blocks and 15 digs for Mayfield, Morgan Ashline had five kills, one block and eight digs, Meara Fitzgerald had two kills and 15 assists and Brooke Long had four kills, one block and 16 digs.
Tori Harrington led Schoharie (2-2, 2-3) with 18 service points, two aces and seven kills, and Sophia Styles had 11 service points, two aces, five assists and three digs.
Fonda-Fultonville defeated Middleburgh, 25-5, 25-13, 25-18, as Amber Cole had 18 assists, two aces and three digs, Maddy Mott had six kills, five aces and four digs and Avary Vainauskas had six aces, two kills and three digs for the Braves.
Payton Yung had four kills, five digs and three aces for Middleburgh, and Megan Bramer had three kills, seven assists and three aces.
Mekeel Christian Academy swept three games from Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbon, 25-15, 25-23, 25-12, as Gabriella Luna had 21 assists and Alanah Barnhill had 10 kills for the Lions.
Berne-Knox-Westerlo dropped the first two sets to OESJ, but came back to win 24-25, 17-25, 25-15, 28-26, 15-12.
Jade Dygert had 12 aces for OESJ.
In a non-league match, Schuylerville dropped the first set to Mechanicville, but came back to win, 27-29, 25-23, 25-17, 25-17. Sophia Wahl had nine digs and 10 kills for Schuylerville, and Kyerra Garmley had 19 assists.
