High Schools: Schalmont four set winner in girls’ volleyball; Mohonasen falls


HIGH SCHOOLS Elena Lybrand and Haley Rider had six kills apiece, and Lybrand anchored Schalmont’s defense with 12 digs in a 25-11, 14-25, 25-19, 25-20 Colonial Council girls’ volleyball win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Alexa Knapik had 12 assists for the Sabres, and Mikayla Townsend had 10 digs.

Maggie Segmour had 10 kills, eight digs and four aces, and Kylie McLaughlin assisted 25 times for Holy Names in a 25-6, 25-12, 25-21 win over Mohonasen.

Camille Calderone, Haley Tomlinson and Sami Westfall served six, five and four aces, respectively, and Jordyn Sowle had a team-high seven kills in Broadalbin-Perth’s 25-11, 25-5, 25-18 Foothills Council triumph over Gloversville. Calderone led the Patriots with 15 service points to go with six kills.

Tori Nardini had seven kills and 12 service points, and Scotia-Glenville rallied for a 16-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 15-11 win over Amsterdam. Kelley Kristel had five kills for the Tartans, and Grace Letterman had 14 assists. Peyton Hoefs had 16 service points and five aces for the Rams, Annie Fedullo had 18 service points and four kills, and Janolys Lopez had nine digs.
