Morrissey admitted that while he was a corrections officer in Rensselaer County in September 2018, he knowingly rubbed the genitalia of a female federal inmate, intending to abuse, humiliate, harass, degrade or arouse or gratify the sexual desire of a person, prosecutors said.

Morrissey is to be sentenced in February and faces a maximum possible sentence of two years in prison. The final sentence is to be imposed by the judge.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin S. Clark.
