FD: Early Friday fire damages Schenectady home; Firefighter suffers minor injuries

SCHENECTADY – An early Friday damaged a Schenectady home and led to a firefighter suffering minor injuries, fire officials said.

The firefighter was treated at the scene, officials said.

The fire happened early Friday at 1166 Avon Road. Smoke and flames were visible as they arrived, officials said.

Crews conducted a search and all occupants were accounted for, officials said.

They had the fire under control within 15 minutes.
