
HIGH SCHOOLS – D’Anthony DeLoreto and Hsar K’Pru scored to help Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons to a 2-1 Western Athletic Conference boys’ soccer victory over Middleburgh on Wednesday.
Goalie Andrew Baaki had 13 saves for the Golden Knights, who had a 1-0 halftime lead.
Austin John scored for Middleburgh.
OESJ beat Canajoharie 2-1 behind a goal and an assist from Andrew Snell. Dylan Barnes had the other OESJ goal. Sam Sunderland scored for Canajoharie.
Casey Clarke had a goal and an assist to lift Galway past Fonda-Fultonville 2-0. Joe Devellis also scored for Galway, and goalie Ryan Pudney had five saves.
Landon Phipps scored twice to lead Glens Falls to a 5-2 Foothills Council boys’ soccer victory over Johnstown.
Tim Motsiff added a goal and an assist for Glens Falls. Duvaney Mills and Gavin Rittenhouse also scored for Glens Falls. Gus Fagan and Braeden Fennessey had the Johnstown goals.

Angel Perez’s two goals powered Gloversville to a 4-1 win over Hudson Falls. Fernando Perez collected a goal and an assist for the Dragons. Jordan Yanno also scored for Gloversville. Lucien Brown scored for Hudson Falls.
Chris Jones collected a goal and an assist to lead Schuylerville to a 4-2 win over Amsterdam. Ashton Morris, Willem Foster and Corey Cotteell also scored for Schuylerville. Scoring for the Rams were Aundrey Fowler and Marco Bottisti.
Max Roca led Queensbury to a 4-1 triumph over Broadalbin-Perth with two goals and an assist. Ethan Moger added a goal and an assist for the Spartans, and Luke Eichin had a goal. Jack Holland scored for the Patriots.
DeNINNO’S HAT TRICK LIFTS OESJ
Jordan DeNinno had a natural hat trick to lead OESJ to a 4-0 Western Athletic Conference girls’ soccer win over Canajoharie.
After assisting on the first goal of the game by Sydney Schell, DeNinno scored in the first half to make it 2-0. She completed her hat trick with two second-half goals.
Hailey Drinon scored to give Schoharie a 1-0 win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.
Claire D’Angelico scored the game-winner in the second half to lift Cohoes past Waterford-Halfmoon 2-1 in a non-league game. McKenzie DeVoe had the other Cohoes goal. Sophia Belonga scored for Waterford-Halfmoon, and goalie Lily Brennan made 20 saves.
Harlee Manus had a goal and an assist as Duanesburg cruised to a 5-0 win over Doane Stuart. Ella Raymond, Erin Johnson, Molly Laudato and Hannah Mulhern also scored for Duanesburg.
Fort Plain goalie Rylee Herron was credited with 64 saves in a 6-0 loss to Dolgeville. Jakrya Miller led Dolgeville with two goals and an assist.
MORSE POWERS BH-BL FIELD HOCKEY
Lilly Morse had three goals and an assist to power Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake to an 8-0 Suburban Council field hockey win over Niskayuna. Quinn Stowell-Malley had two goals, and Caroline Kogut added a goal and two assists.
Aubrey Ide had two goals and an assist to lead Saratoga Springs to a 4-1 victory over Shaker.
Allie Shamberger had a goal and an assist for the Blue Streaks (11-2 Suburban, 14-2 overall). Emma Landers added a goal. Oliva Gilbert scored for the Blue Bison (5-8, 6-9).
SARATOGA SPRINGS BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL RALLIES FOR WIN
Saratoga Springs overcame a two-set deficit to defeat Niskayna 20-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-16, 15-11. Caleb Goldberg had 35 assists and 25 digs for Niskayuna. Gian Stabler had 61 digs, Keat Iornez Hermo had 30 digs, Ryan Spain collected 13 kills and Tyler Laing had 12 kills and 23 digs.
Nabeel Pattan had 11 kills and 11 digs as Shaker defeated Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 23-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-23 in Suburban Council boys’ volleyball action. Aditya Nayak added 13 kills for the Blue Bison, Bryan Chae had 38 assists and Josh Blake had nine kills and 11 digs. Liam Calhoun had 20 kills, and Cody Gladding had 38 assists for the Spartans.
Bethlehem swept CBA 25-9, 25-22, 25-17, led by Danny Battista’s 10 assists and nine digs.
MOHONASEN GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS
Shealyn Whipple had 20 digs and four aces, and Alexis Haley collected 24 assists to power Mohonasen to a 25-23, 25-23, 25-19 Colonial Council girls’ volleyball win over Voorheesville. Emily Lindemann added six kills and two blocks for the Mighty Warriors.
Arden Buhrmaster and Rylee Cornell each had nine service points and four aces as Saratoga Central Catholic beat Berlin/New Lebanon 25-23, 25-19, 25-21 in the Wasaren League. Jacqueline Fornabia added six service points, six aces and seven kills. Sofia Provost had eight service points, Arianna Bennett collected seven service points. Gianna Fiordimondo had nine digs.
Tamarac rallied from a two-set deficit to beat Mechanicville 18-25, 22-25, 27-25, 25-23, 16-14.
Kayla Beaudoin had nine kills, 14 service points and five aces for Tamarac. Julianna Maxfield added six kills, six service points and eight digs. Mechanicville was led by Jazzelle McLean with 18 kills, Jenna Tesoriero with 12 service points and 15 assists and Kaitlyn Chan with seven service points and 12 digs.
Emma Willard defeated Cambridge 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-17. For Cambridge, MaryKate Lebarron had 19 service points, 10 aces and six assists, Anna Bailey added 10 service points and six aces.
Gloversville beat Schoharie 25-12, 25-23, 26-24 in a non-league match. Allie Salvione had 16 assists for Gloversville, Jackie Rattray had five kills and Zoie Tesi had five kills and seven digs. Tori Harrington had 14 service points for Schoharie, and Annabel Gell added 10 service points.
