HIGH SCHOOLS – Sami Westfall, who was among the Broadalbin-Perth seniors honored Thursday night for their contributions to the program, had six kills and five aces to help the Patriots top Amsterdam 25-13, 25-14, 25-15 in a Foothills Council girls’ volleyball match.
Camille Calderone had eight kills, and Haley Tomlinson had seven kills and eight aces for Broadalbin-Perth. Annie Fedullo paced Amsterdam with five kills.
Madison King had 11 kills, eight digs, six aces and five blocks as part of Mayfield’s 25-19, 25-23, 26-24 Western Athletic Conference win over OESJ. Brooke Long had 12 digs, four aces and four kills for Mayfield, and Lilia White had 13 assists and four digs. Lilyanna O’Callaghan paced OESJ with nine blocks and four kills, Jade Dygert served six aces, and Maddison Simonds had 10 assists.
Amber Kolpakas produced 15 kills, and Galway (8-0, 9-1) dealt Mekeel Christian Academy (7-1, 8-3) its first Western Athletic Conference setback while extending its league win streak to 60 matches 25-14, 25-15, 25-11. Grace O’Brien had 13 assists and four aces for Galway, and Courtney Smith and Taylor Garrison both had four blocks. Mekeel got seven kills from Alanah Barnhill, and 12 assists out of Gabriella Luna.
Hannah Borski collected nine kills and a team-high 12 service points in Duanesburg’s 25-21, 21-25, 12-25, 26-24, 15-10 comeback win over Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons. Heather Black picked up 12 assists for the Eagles, Abigail Hart served for nine points, and Rileigh Wilsey had four blocks. Julia Jaworowski starred for NDBG with 30 kills, 16 digs and seven aces, while Tatum Liverio had 35 assists and 10 digs. Alanah Kelly had nine kills, Klo Ifenuk had 16 service points, and Julia Dobkowski had 19 digs.
Tori Harrington had nine kills and 14 service points for Schoharie in a 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23 win over Middleburgh. Alyssa Ciezynski led Schoharie with 18 service points and Ciarra Nay had 17. Megan Bramer led Middleburgh with 11 kills, eight assists and four blocks.
