GLENVILLE — The Glenville EmUrgentCare location will reopen Jan. 2.
Albany Med Health Systems announced Wednesday that they will reopen two of their EmUrgentCare locations that day. The Glenville office at 115 Saratoga Road and another in Guilderland at 5 New Karner Road.
“The reopening of these two urgent care locations reinforces our commitment to quality care closer to home,” said Denis Pauze, MD, chairman of Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical Center in a statement. “These walk-in clinics are staffed by emergency medicine-trained providers and offer easy access to other specialists within our System. We’re proud to be serving the Glenville and Guilderland communities, particularly at this time of year when colds, flu, and viruses are more common.”
The two offices are reopening after being temporarily closed in recent months. Albany Med announced both locations will offer walk-in care and be open six days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m and closed on Saturdays. The locations are reopening at a time when seasonal respiratory viruses and other illnesses are more prevalent in the community, according to an announcement from Albany Med.
“Like other hospitals, Albany Medical Center has experienced staffing shortages felt nationwide,” a statement from Albany Medical Center read. “Colleagues from our Glenville and Guilderland EmUrgentCare locations took special assignments to meet demand in our hospital. Ongoing efforts to recruit and retain staff have given us the flexibility to reopen these urgent care centers.”
Albany Med Health System has 10 EmUrgentCare locations from Saugerties to Latham which offer. Appointments are not required for in-person visits, but are encouraged. Virtual visits are available as well. Appointments for in-person and virtual visits may be made at emurgentcare.com
