SCHENECTADY — Fandom Fest, the two-day festival celebrating all things pop culture, will be returning to Proctors Theatre for its second installment in August.
Tickets are currently on sale for the festival, which will include cosplay, vendors and celebrity panels, and is set to run from Aug. 26–27, according to a news release.
“Fandom Fest NY will transform Proctors into a space where geeks, bookworms, nerds, gamers and everyone in between can share their love for their fandom,” the release reads.
This year’s installment will include a number of returning features, including the Arcade Arcade that will include a number of arcade machines; the Geek Garage, which will feature vehicles from various fandoms; and the Dragon Dungeon, highlighting an assortment of new tabletop games.
There will also be a vendor hall and a cosplay contest that will take place on the MainStage at Proctors, as well as a video gaming tournament, according to the release.
No celebrity guests or panels have been announced at this time, but additional details are expected to be made available in the coming months. Last year’s Fandom Fest brought Rodger Bumpass, the voice of the “SpongeBob SquarePants” character Squidward Tentacles.
Advance tickets start at $35 and $45 at the door. Two-day passes can be purchased online for $60. Discounted rates are available for students and children under 4 can enter for free.
Tickets are on sale at the Proctors Box Office at 432 State St. or online by visiting fandomfest.org.
