TROY — Junior forward Ellie Kaiser scored twice to lift RPI to a 2-1 women’s ECAC Hockey victory over Union on Friday at Messa Rink.

The win was the second straight for the Engineers (4-11-1 ECACH, 15.5 points, 8-18-1 overall). They also took the conference season series from the Dutchwomen (4-11-1, 11.5 points; 11-1-5-1) four points to two.

Kaiser gave RPI a 1-0 lead 6:14 into the game. Meredith Killian tied it for Union 3:35 later.

Kaiser was in front of the Union net when Hannah Price centered a pass to her from behind the net. Kaiser’s shot hit the stick of Union defenseman Maren Friday’s stick and knuckled past goalie Sophie Matsoukas.
