
Ballston Spa junior Harriet Healey swept the 300 (43.40) and 600 (1:45.53) meters, and also ran a leg on the Scotties’ winning 800 relay at the Section II Division 2 track and field championships at Union College on Saturday.
On the boys’ side, Niskayuna senior Ryan Hesler and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake junior Matt Windecker traded places at the top of the 1,000 and 1,600 meters.
In Division II, Hesler won the 1,600 in 4:31.86, less than a half-second ahead of Windecker (4:32.26), bu Windecker was much the best in the 1,000 with a time 2:41.07, as Hesler finished second in 2:43.78.
Ballston Spa’s Isaiah Hannah was a double winner, in the 50-meter high hurdles (7.18) and the 45 (5.74).
In Division 4, Fonda-Fultonville’s Bennett Melita swept the boys’ 1,600 (4:45.89) and 3,200 (10:27.83), and teammate Ty Sanges won both the 600 (1:31.61) and 1,000 (2:49.83).
Fonda also won all three relays.
On the girls’ side, Stillwater’s Kara Moran was a double winner in the long jump (16-9.25) and triple jump (36-8.50).
